About the Department

The Department of Commerce was started in 2002-2003 in Self Supporting Stream and offers the three year B.Com Degree Programme which is divided into six semesters and the curriculum is designed under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) based on the model curriculum prescribed by the UGC. Since 2020 onwards as per the UGC guidelines we introduced Outcome Based Education (OBE). It includes Language, Core courses, Allied courses , Electives core courses, Non Major Electives, Skill based courses, Soft skill courses, Physical Education, Value Education, Extension activities, Factory visit, Internship, and Study tour.

Post Graduate Department was started in the year 2013-2014 in Self Supporting Stream of our college offers two years M.Com. Degree Programme which is divided into Four semesters aims at exploring new frontiers of knowledge and innovation in academics. The Curriculum aims at to develop professionals in the fields of academics and research. The students have been provided exposure by way of Industrial visit and Educational trips.

There are qualified staff members wholeheartedly involved and dedicated for the source of academic and holistic empowerment of the students and their development. The academic Performance of the students is continuously monitored and assessed during the study period by conducting tests, seminars, group discussions, assignments and other academic exercises in addition to semester examinations. The students are groomed to face the challenges of the current employment market and improve their employability skills such as Communication Skill, Leadership Skill and also the Personality Development. We got ranks at university level and our students got Employment even abroad. The admirable infrastructure and Green Campus of our College motivate the students to learn enthusiastically.
